Our Manuscript Assessment provides you with a thorough analysis of the overall big picture, with feedback via a report on a range of areas tailored to your specific subject, genre and audience including:

- Readership, and much more.
We provide a summary of the strengths and weaknesses of your manuscript, highlight any inconsistencies, and provide suggestions on things like pace and context.
This is a great way to gain professional insight and feedback based not only on a reader’s or audience perspective, but also from a publishing and marketing point of view. We want your author voice to shine, and we’ll work with you to help make your manuscript the best it can be.
As part of your assessment report, we also provide a sample copyedit so you can see what the next stage in the process may look like.
Copyediting (line editing)
Once your manuscript has been through structural and developmental editing, we can provide a full copyedit. This means scrutinising the script – line by line – to not only ensure spelling, grammar and punctuation conventions are adhered to, but provide feedback and advice on:
- Sentence structure: active versus passive voice
- Consistency of terms, names and acronyms
- Execution, tone and tense
- Narrative flow and transitions
- Correcting subject/verb agreement and avoiding repetition

Proofreading
For the final polish of your manuscript, our proofreading service ensures a final review of surface-level formatting, grammar, punctuation and spelling errors once all final edits have been completed.
